As a graphic designer in Yell’s design studio, I was part of a team who was tasked with redesigning the Yellow Pages front cover. With declining customer sales and less usage from the public, Yell wanted to re-energise and modernise the Yellow Pages directory front cover, as well as keeping a ‘local’ feel to the design.The intention was to make home owners want to keep the directory and use it when they needed local services. A variety of themes were explored whilst maintaining the Yell branding. Below are a selection of designs that were developed and submitted to Yell’s marketing team.
