Licensed gifts and barware: The Simpsons

Brief

Character UK specialised in the supply and marketing of licensed and non-licensed giftware and barware. The licences included The Simpsons, Family Guy and Star Wars.

Responsible for the design of the products and their packaging, all advertising and promotional material including product display stands. Involved in the entire process of bringing the products from their conceptual stage, through the rigorous Twentieth Century Fox approval process to its completed stage – ready for supplying to stores.



The Simpsons product range included ‘mug and coaster’ coffee sets, beer steins, bottle openers, mugs, shot glasses and beer sets.



A range of ‘talking badges’ based on the main characters Homer Simpson and Bart Simpson. The badges contained officially approved popular audio phrases from the characters which were activated when the badge was pressed.

Other products included photograph frames and bedroom door signs.



The fridge magnet talking bottle opener featured a Homer Simpson bottle opener that would stick to the fridge and when pressed, would activate one of three audio phrases.
